The 2017 ANIC (Australian Nut Industry Conference) was held in Melbourne last week, seeing the largest gathering of everyone and anyone in the nut industry. Attendees included retailers, resellers, processors, growers, association members and supporters.

At every conference dinner, the industry announces a ‘Long Standing Service to the Industry’ award. At this years dinner, Quin Scalzo was given this recognition.

This honour was introduced beautifully by a long-time friend, colleague and competitor, Chris Joyce. He gave a terrific introduction into just some of the things that Quin has achieved over 40 plus years in the industry.

Quin’s acceptance speech was gracious and as passionate as we would all expect. It was a proud moment for his family and friends.

Congratulations to Quin. This is a great recognition for all those tireless hours spent trying to grow an industry for as many people as possible to benefit.
